Swamy demands Radia tapes from CBI
October 21, 2013  14:59
Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy today demanded from CBI the transcript of a recorded telephonic conversation of former corporate lobbyist Niira Radia relating to alleged kickbacks in civil aviation sector agreements between India and other countries.

"...I request you to provide me access to the transcript of the conversation which incidentally is already informally in the public domain. For the purpose of the court, I require an authenticated transcript," Swamy wrote in his letter to CBI Director Ranjit Sinha.

He said the matter is directly relevant to his writ petition before the Supreme Court on a bilateral agreement between India and the UAE and connected with the Jet Airways- Etihad FDI deal.
