Asaram's police custody ends today

The police custody of self-styled godman Asaram Bapuu, in the alleged sexual assault case by Surat sisters, will end on Saturday.

The controversial godman was remanded to police custody after two Surat sisters lodged a complaint against him and his son Narayan Sai.

The 72-year-old Asaram also reportedly tested positive on the second potency test. He had earlier tested positive for the potency test conducted on him in Jodhpur last month.

Police in its remand application had sought 14 days custody of Asaram citing various reasons, including interrogation of the accused regarding the alleged crime, his medical check up and seizure of things related to the crime.
