PM likely to visit Turkey in Feb

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is expected to visit Turkey in early February just ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

This will be Dr Singh's first visit to the nation in his 10-year tenure as PM, reports our correspondent in New Delhi.

During President Pranab Mukherjee's visit to Turkey earlier in October, Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan renewed his request to Dr Singh to visit Istanbul and Ankara.

The process of finalising the PM's visit, such as the availability of dates of signatories in Ankara and Istanbul, are being worked out.
