Gujarat has highest per capita debt burden: Digvijaya

Hitting out at the Gujarat model of development, Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh today said the state has the highest per capita debt burden on its people.

Singh also accused Narendra Modi of immersing the whole of Gujarat under debt and said he will do the same with the whole of India, going by his ambition to be the prime minister.

"Gujarat has one of the highest debt liabilities. In Gujarat, the per capital debt is highest in the country. This means that every Gujarat citizen is under highest debt, this the figures confirm," said Singh.
