October 10, 2013  17:12
Buzz from the corridors of power in New Delhi:

The Congress war room is now dysfunctional. No senior leader visits Bungalow 15 on Gurdwara Rekabganj Road where the war room is situated. Reason: Rahul Gandhi is not visiting this bungalow for security reasons. He has virtually shifted the war room to his residence on 12, Thuklaq Lane

Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda has been given the responsibility of
projecting the party on social media. He is the only MP seen in the Congress war room. But he has a separate entrance, through the back. The main entrance cannot be used by anyone except Rahul Gandhi.

Come November, Union minister Jairam Ramesh is likely to resign his ministerial position to wear the hat as Chief Operating Officer of the Congress war room.
Ramesh will have the task of connecting the older generation with the younger lot. Rahul Gandhi, it seems, is keen that Ramesh coordinate this.
