Raising debt limit: 'Cooler heads in House' makes Obama happy

CNN: US President Barack Obama "is happy that cooler heads at least seem to be prevailing in the House" over raising the debt limit, White House spokesman Jay Carney said today when asked about a GOP proposal for a short-term increase in the federal borrowing limit.

Carney said he wouldn't be unable to say whether the president would sign the measure if it passes Congress until he gets more details about it.
