Live! Victim's fresh statement: What Tarun did to me is legally rape

The woman journalist in the Tehelka case has issued a fresh statement today saying she is fighting for her integrity and that what Tarun Tejpal did to her is legally rape.

She also said she was heartened by the support she has been receiving but was disturbed by insinuations of a pre-poll conspiracy.

The statement of the victim was first recorded on Tuesday morning at her residence in Mumbai suburbs. The team headed by Crime Branch Police Inspector Sunita Sawant started recording the statement at 11.45 am and continued till 2 pm to record statement of more than seven pages. The email complaint copy letter is also part of the statement.
