Suspended Trinamool MP arrested over chit fund scam

Suspended Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Kunal Ghosh has been arrested in connection with the Saradha chit fund scam.

Ghosh had earlier alleged that he was being made a "sacrificial lamb" as several other top leaders were also involved in the scam.

India maintains Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura belong to it.

Arun Beereddy (37), a native of Telangana's Hyderabad, was arrested from Delhi. He handles the 'Spirit of Congress' account on X, the official said.
