India provides intrinsic and important link between the developing and the developed world, and maintains a distinct relationships with the United States and China on individual basis, said External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid.
"I think, that expectation of India is reflected in people supporting India for a permanent seat in the [United Nations] Security Seat whenever the UN is reformed," he said in an interview with the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS), a think tank of National University of Singapore.
"[This is] because they [people] think we provide intrinsic and important link between the developing world and the developed world," stressed Khurshid in the interview published today.
