LIVE! Ratan Tata as big as Sachin, men like them don't retire: FinMin

Finance Minister P Chidambaram has compared industrialist Ratan Tata with Sachin Tendulkar, saying men like that never retire.

Chidambaram was speaking at an event in Mumbai, where he presented Mr Tata with the first CII President's award. Mr Tata is the chairman emeritus of the over $100 billion Tata Group.

"When I walked into the room I realized Mr Tata is as big as Sachin," Chidambaram said, referring to the cricketing legend who is playing his last test match at the city's Wankhede Stadium.

"Men like Ratan don't retire. They just move on to doing different things," said the minister.
