LIVE! EC notice to Modi for 'khooni panja' remark, has to reply by Nov 16

The Election Commission (EC) has slapped a notice on Narendra Modi for his controversial khooni panja (bloodied hand) barb at the Congress during a poll rally in Chhattisgarh. EC asks Modi to file a reply by November 16, 5 pm why action should not be initiated against him.

The Congress party on Saturday moved the Election Commission over the remark seeking "stern action" against the Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate.
