President Pranab Mukherjee will spend the winter of 2013 at the Rashtrapathi Nilayam in Hyderabad. He will be moving residence to the Nizam's city from December 19 to December 30.

Insiders say that the president will use the time to study various rulings of apex courts on minority governments. For instance PV Narasimha's government in 1991-1996.

A voracious reader, Pranab Mukherjee has already read six books on the constitutional aspects of the formation of union governments. That, in a sense, signals the President's readiness for May 2014.
