Vaiko asks traders to shut shops on Nov 12

As protests continued in Tamil Nadu demanding India's boycott of the Commonwealth summit in Sri Lanka next week, MDMK leader Vaiko today urged traders to shut shops on November 12, demanding the expulsion of the island nation from the 53-member grouping.

Opposing Sri Lanka hosting the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, he urged the trading community to close down shops, unmindful of the losses in the interest of Tamils.
