Advani meets Prez Pranab on Tehri dam issue

BJP leaders L K Advani and Uma Bharti today met President Pranab Mukherjee and appealed him to direct the government to ensure uninterrupted flow of Ganga downstream from Tehri dam and save Dhari Devi temple in Uttarakhand from submergence due to the construction of a dam.

Bharti, who has been involved for the last few months in a campaign to protect the Ganga, apprised Mukherjee of the need for ensuring the uninterrupted flow of Ganga downstream from Tehri dam.
