Lalu's Parivartan rally today; spotlight on his sons, daughters

Today's Parivartan rally is considered crucial to reassert the popularity of Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad. His party says that it is aimed at bringing change in Bihar.

Lalu's political career took a hit after the animal husbandry scam following which he launched his wife Rabri Devi as the chief minister of Bihar. Today's rally to be held in Patna will put the spotlight on his children.

Lalu told NDTV: "When they are my children do you want to them to hold a lotus (the BJP's symbol) or arrow (the symbol of the ruling Janata Dal- United)? It is natural that they will hold lanterns and canvas for the RJD," he said. The lantern is the RJD's political symbol.

The RJD chief has two sons and seven daughters.
