Court to decide if Sanjay Dutt can surrender before jail
May 15, 2013  10:34
Four weeks after the Supreme court granted actor Sanjay Dutt time to surrender before the TADA court in the 1993 Bombay blasts case, the deadline ends today. But will surrender at the TADA court?

Dutt filed an application seeking to surrender directly at Mumbai's Arthur Road prison or Pune's Yerawada jail.

The actor said he was facing threat to life from fundamentalist groups and hence should be allowed to surrender before Yerwada jail instead of the special court on Mumbai. He filed an application before special TADA Judge G A Sanap seeking permission to surrender before the Yerwada jail in Pune instead of giving himself up before the special court in south Mumbai.
