Bihar: Dalit woman attacked for drawing water from handpump

A Dalit woman was injured when a man attacked her with a sharp weapon today for drawing water from a handpump in a village in Bihar's Madhubani district, police said.

Mantorami Devi, 33, was attacked by Marhu Yadav, who was infuriated with her for drawing water from a public hand pump at Jhauwa village.
