Antony prepares ground for Karnataka CM selection

Defence Minister AK Antony left Delhi for Bangalore to meet the newly elected Karnataka MLAs individually. The other thig on this agenda is to ensure the MLAs pass a resolution authorising AICC chief Sonia Gandhi to identify the new chief minister. The new Karnataka chief minister will be sworn in on Monday afternoon or Thursday morning.

The stage is also set for Veerappa Moily as the frontrunner for the chief minister's position, while another CM hopeful, Siddaramaiah may be made Speaker of the Assembly. There may also be three deputy chief ministers.
