The Supreme Court has dismissed the bail plea of jailed YSR Congress leader Jaganmohan Reddy in the disproportionate assets corruption case. Delivering the verdict, the Supreme Court observed that Jagan's release would hamper the probe in the case which is of a high magnitude and the "likelihood of tampering with evidence and influencing witnesses can't be ruled out on his release."

This is the sixth attempt made by Jagan Reddy in a year to get bail. He has been in a Hyderabad jail since May 2012.
