Two major wins for the BJP, KJP registers first win

And some good news for the BJP: Anand Singh of the BJP won the prestigious Bellary Vijaynagar seat. He beat the BSR Congress headed by former BJP leader, Sriramulu, by 13,000 votes.

Former Home Minister of Karnataka Roshan Baig won the Shivajinagar seat by beating Nirmal Surana of the BJP.

Meanwhile, the Karnataka Janatha Party has registered its first win and this is from the Bhatakal constituency. Shivananda Nayak won the elections on a KJP ticket which is headed by Yeddyurappa. -- Vicky Nanjappa
