The Karnataka Janatha Paksha (KJP) is putting up a better performance than expected. The newly launched party headed by former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa is already leading in four constituencies which includes the Shikaripura seat contested by him.

At present the leads are available for 20 constituencies and the BJP is leading in 05 while the Congress in 07, JD(S) 03, KJ(P) 03, Others 01.

The prominent leaders as of now are Siddaramaiah, B S Yeddyurappa, Renukacharya, K S Eshwarappa, R Ashok, H D Kumaraswamy, H D Revanna and G Parameshwar. The Mangalore bastion of the BJP looks shaky for the moment with Krishna Palemar trailing. -- Vicky Nanjappa
