Congress races ahead, JDS second, BJP slips to third place

The ruling BJP has slipped to the third position in the over all leads position. The JD(S) is currently ahead of the BJP.

The JD(S) is in the lead in 40 seats, while the BJP leads in 37. The JD(S) has maintained its lead over the Mandya belts where it leads in six seats. It has also put up an impressive show in the old Mysore region. While the party appears to be pleased with its performance, the worry is that Anitha Kumaraswamy (HD Kumaraswamy's wife) who is still trailing at Channapatana.
