Strong earthquake sways buildings in Taiwan

A strong earthquake has been felt throughout Taiwan, but no casualties or damage has been reported yet. The Central Weather Bureau says the quake today registered at magnitude 6.1. 

The tremor struck a rural township in Nantou County, about 250 kilometers south of Taipei where it swayed buildings. Earthquakes frequently rattle Taiwan, but most are minor and cause little or no damage.
