D Y Patil sworn in as Bihar governor

Well known educationist and Padma Shri awardee D Y Patil was today sworn in as the 34th Governor of Bihar at a function here at Rajbhawan. Chief Justice of Patna High Court Rekha M Doshit administered the oath of office and secrecy to 77-year-old Patil.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, a host of ministers of the state and senior officials were present on the occasion. Patil, who was the governor of Tripura, replaced Devenand Konwar who would take his position in the north-eastern state.
