The CBI on Thursday morning raided the residence of DMK chief M Karunanidhi's son and party leader M K Stalin.

The probe agency reportedly raided Stalin's residence in connection to a Directorate of Revenue Intelligence case about illegally imported foreign cars which are allegedly being used by Stalin's son.

A case has been filed in this connection but it is not clear who has been named in the FIR, according to media reports.

DMK leaders claimed that this was a case of 'political vendetta'.

The party had on Tuesday pulled out of the ruling UPA coalition at the Centre over differences on the Lankan Tamils issue.
