UK updates travel advisory for female tourists in India

Hours after a British woman jumped out of a hotel room in Agra over fears of a sex attack, UK today updated its travel advice for women tourists to India. The fresh advisory from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office asked women travellers to 'exercise caution when travelling in India even if they are travelling in a group'.

"A Swiss national suffered a serious sexual attack in Madhya Pradesh on March 16. Women travellers should exercise caution when travelling in India even if they are travelling in a group.
