Maha govt ready to hand over Bhandara case to CBI: RR Patil

The Maharashtra Government is ready to hand over the probe into the deaths of the three minor sisters at Murmadi village in Bhandara district to the CBI if the family wishes so, the Legislative Council was informed today.

This was announced by Home Minister R R Patil, while replying to a discussion. Three reports of forensic experts were received and all stated cause of death was drowning and did not mention rape, Patil said. A team has visited Rajasthan and Gujarat in connection with the case, he said. So far, over 500 persons have been interrogated in the case, he added.
