Chidambaram: Govt stable, will stay in power
March 19, 2013  11:57
P Chidambaram reacting to the pullout says the DMK demands are under consideration and the government will consult other political parties. Displaying his usual calm (before the upcoming storm?) Chidambaram says there is no threat to the government and it will stay in power. "The government is stable," says the finance minister. The consultation process with other parties has begun to find a resolution to the problem. "Karunanidhi is a senior leader and the government has taken note of his concerns," Chidambaram tells CNN IBN.

The DMK is known for its inclinations to pull out of the government. In May 2012, it had threatened to pull out of the government over fuel price hikes.
