BCCI may ask Lankan players to stay away from IPL

In the backdrop of the protests in Chennai against Sri Lanka, the IPL matches could be in crisis. Of the nine IPL teams, eight have Sri Lankan players and the BCCI says it is worried about the upcoming matches to be held in Chennai. The BCCI says it may ask Sri Lankan players to stay away from the matches and it may send a memo to the players.

Earlier, TN CM Jayalalithaa had cancelled the Asian Athletics Championships in February saying Lankan players would not be allowed in Tamil Nadu.
