CNN-IBN reports: A new development is likely in the probe over the killing of Uttar Pradesh DSP Zia-ul-Haque in Pratapgarh. CBI sources say they are likely to register four FIRs in the matter.

One will be regarding the murder of the DSP on the basis of his wife's complaint to the UP Police. The other FIRS will be regarding the deaths of Gram Pradhan Nanhe Yadav and his brother and to probe the rioting and violence that took place in Kunda.

The CBI will then move to take custody of the two already arrested by UP Police. This comes as government doctors claim the DSP could have been saved if he had been taken to hospital within 30 minutes of being shot.

Eyewitnesses and local police say the first attempt to save a life was made for the brother of gram pradhan Nanhe Yadav who was also killed that day.

Questions are also being raised as to why the DSP's own force did not take him to the hospital on time and where were they when he was being attacked.
