Obama seeks constructive future relations with Venezuela

US President Barack Obama has said America was interested in a 'constructive' future relationship with Venezuela after the death of President Hugo Chavez.   Obama said at 'this challenging time of Chavez's passing, the US reaffirms its support for the Venezuelan people and its interest in developing a constructive relationship with the country'.  

He added that 'as Venezuela begins a new chapter in its history, the US remains committed to policies that promote democratic principles, the rule of law, and respect for human rights,' Fox News reports.  

Chavez died on Tuesday in a military hospital in Caracas, Vice President Nicols Maduro announced on the national radio and television.
