BBC: A plane has crashed in Goma, the main city in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, witnesses say. There are no confirmed casualty figures so far. However, the plane came down in a residential area, killing dozens of people, AFP news agency quotes police sources saying.

DR Congo has a poor air safety record, with 74 people killed in a crash at the airport in the central city of Kisangani two years ago.
