Eight MPs -- four from the Rajya Sabha, apart from ministers and finance minister P Chidambaram met Rahul Gandhi today for 30 minutes to discuss the political situation in Tamil Nadu over the Sri Lanka issue. The TN Congress MPs are believed to have briefed Rahul Gandhi about DMK's stand in the Sri Lanka issue. The need for a strong stand to support Lankan Tamils was emphasised.
