"I wanted to jump out of the car, when Chidambaram called me last week. But first I needed to ascertain whether it was really him on the phone," senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha tells our source.

What happened is this. Finance minister P Chidambaram apparently called Sinha, who was a finance minister in the NDA government, for suggestions
and recommendations to the Standing Committee on Finance.

In fact, Chidambaram did mention, during his Budget speech that he had consulted Yashwant Sinha. There was also another conversation between the Sinha, Chidambaram and another senior BJP leader. Who that was, dear reader, will remain a secret.
