Sonia praises Omar for "all round development in J-K"

Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi inaugurated a rail link between Banihal and Qazigund in the Valley. Dr Singh and Mrs Gandhi flagged-off the first train on the 18-km-long section.
Sonia said that the train link would increase employment in Jammu and Kashmir "It is part of UPA's bid to connect far flung areas for development. People are fed up with violence in Jammu and Kashmir, but I must complement Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for all round development in the state," she said.

Omar Abdullah's party, the National Conference, is an UPA ally.
