Our correspondent from New Delhi reports: One hundred and twenty five trucks flagged off by Congress president Sonia Our correspondent in New Delhi reports: The 125 trucks laden with rescue and relief material flagged off by Congress president Sonia Gandhi on June 24 from New Delhi have stopped their journey in Rishikesh.

The truckers accused the state machinery of not receiving the supplies or giving them definite instructions. The drivers allege they were directed from Dehradun onto the Srinagar Garhwal but without money for fuel or food, now they threatening to sell off the rescue material in order to sustain themselves.

But the news was denied by the Congress. A senior leader said the trucks flagged off by Congress president for victims of Uttarakhand has reached godown in Rishikesh as planned.

He added, "Big trucks can't climb the upper areas, so the material is  being shifted to smaller ones."
