Snowden betrayed America: NSA chief

Whistle-blower Edward Snowden 'betrayed' America by leaking information about its secret surveillance programmes, the US National Security Agency said today, as authorities sought cooperation from other countries where the former CIA operative attempts to seek refuge.

"He betrayed the trust and confidence we had in him," General Keith Alexander, the Commander of US Cyber Command and Director of National Security Agency, told ABC News in an interview.
