BJP '8 ft down' by appointing Modi: Cong

Slamming the appointment of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as BJP's poll campaign committee chief, Congress MP Francisco Sardinha today said that the saffron party has gone "eight feet down" by making such a move.

"The Congress is happy. By selecting Narendra Modi as their campaign manager for Lok Sabha polls, the party (BJP) has gone eight feet down," Sardinha quipped while responding to a query by reporters.
