Jiah Khans suicide: Sooraj Pancholis bail plea to be heard today

Aspiring actor Sooraj Pancholi, son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, who was arrested by the Mumbai police after the suicide of actress Jiah Khan, will present his bail plea in a Mumbai court on Friday.

Sooraj was arrested on charges of abetment to suicide (under Section 306 of the IPC) on June 10 after a six-page suicide note was recovered from the deceased actress' residence.

The authenticity of the suicide note and the other five love letters that were found from Sooraj's residence, meanwhile, is being examined.

On June 14, the court had adjourned Sooraj's bail plea till June 21.

According to the officer investigating the case, the police required time to probe into the matter since Sooraj had deleted several texts and other messages from his cell phone. On June 13, the Mumbai police had stated that they would oppose the bail plea of the aspiring actor.
