PM announces Rs 1000-cr relief for flood devastated Uttarakhand

PM Dr Manmohan Singh addressing a press conference in New Delhi after the aerial survey with Sonia Gandhi, announces a Rs 1000 crore compensation package for flood-devastated Uttarakhand. Calling it a huge tragedy, he said he saw large-scale devastation in the area and warned that the death toll would go up. "Our sympathies lie with the victims of the devastation and I fear the loss of lives will be much higher," he said.
