CNN IBN says 5000 people are missing at Gaurikund, the getaway point for Kedarnath. The Kedarnath helicopter base has been destroyed. The Kedarnath temple, however, is reported to be safe, but everything around the temple is destroyed. More than 20 temple staff are missing. The Kedarnath-Badrinath Committee president tells the channel that there is no food or medicines in the area.
