Live! MoS Home: NO shortage of food in Uttarakhand

MoS Home Affairs RPN Singh gives an update on the situation in Uttarakhand. Singh says the government's first priority is to get people out of danger. "We are airlifting people from Kedarnath and surrounding areas where the situation is the worst. All the 60,000 stranded in Uttarakhand are not in danger since many are in homes or hotels. Since the weather is better today, helicopters have flown 22 sorties and so far, since floods took place, 2000 to 3000 people have been evacuated."

He rubbished news that there was food shortage in Uttarakhand. The government figures so far is 100 dead in uttarakhand, 70,000 stranded.
