No relief from rains: 40 killed in Uttaranchal

Rains continue to play havoc in Uttaranchal, where nearly 60,000 tourists are feared stranded at various places due to the relentless monsoon downpour.

Nearly 40,000 pilgrims are feared stranded at Badrinath. 

Heavy rains and landslides have already claimed 40 lives in the hilly state.

The Centre has rushed emergency relief forces to the state.
