Just in: The Gujarat High Court has ordered the CBI to file the charge sheet in the Ishrat Jahan case by July 4. The court has also directed Gujarat cadre IPS officer Satish Verma to be disassociated with the case and that the focus of the probe should be on the fake encounter and the illegal confinement.

The CBI today questioned Intelligence Bureau Special Director Rajinder Kumar at a guesthouse of the Border Security Force in Gandhinagar. He has already been questioned by the CBI earlier for his alleged role in the fake encounter case in which 19-year old Ishrat Jahan was killed along with four others on June 15, 2004 by a team of Crime Branch officials on Ahmedabad's outskirts.
