BJP-JD-U have a go at each other with bamboo sticks, iron rods

Rediff.com's MI Khan reporting from Patna says more than half a dozen BJP and JD-U workers were injured after they attacked each other with bamboo sticks and iron rods in the city during the bandh called by the BJP.

According to police officials in Patna, JD-U spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan and three other party leaders were injured when BJP workers attacked them.  "Violent clashes took place after BJP workers raised slogans against chief minister Nitish Kumar, while JD-U workers raised slogans against Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi," a police official said.
