MoS Home Affairs RPN Singh says reinforcements (CRPF, BSF personnel) have been sent. "It is obvious this is a desperate act by the Naxals. They are now attacking unarmed innocent passengers. The aim of the attack is to snatch the ammunition and arms from the jawans. We are in touch with the RPF, state governments and the police. We will take all possible measures to prevent such incidents. This incident shows the frustration of the Naxals," says Singh.

So the official note is this: The driver, one passenger and one jawan were injured. Three rifles were looted.
