Five passengers injured in Naxal attack on Bihar train

Just in: Five passengers have been injured in a Naxal attack on the Dhanbad-Patna intercity express train. Trains on the Delhi-Howrah route. The Bihar DGP tells CNN IBN that Naxals fired inside and though five other passengers and a guard were injured, the actual targets were the RPF jawans travelling inside and taking away their weapons. Approximately 100 to 150 Naxals are believed to be involved in the attacks.  Details awaited.

The government has called Naxals the single biggest internal security threat to the country, earlier, a sentiment that was expressed again during the May 25 Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh killing 27 people including senior Congress leaders and the founder of the Salwa Judum, Mahendra Karma.
