Narendra Modi era all set to dawn in BJP

Any moment now Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh is expected to announce Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the head of the party's campaign committee for the next Lok Sabha elections, at its national executive meeting in Goa this morning.

The announcement, which saw the party's top leadership including patriarch LK Advani go into a sulk and stay away from the party conclave, is expected to be made at the party press conference at noon.

Despite the opposition from a section of the leadership, the decision has the strong support from its rank and file.
