With insurgency on wane in Tripura, AFSPA areas reduce

With insurgency on the wane in Tripura, the state government has reduced the number of areas under the Armed Forces Special Powers Act.

A notification issued by the government, dated June 5, said that after reviewing the overall law and order situation in the state, it was decided that the number of areas under the AFSPA would be reduced.
