Rajasthan Royals has just issued a statement that Raj Kundra will be suspended as an owner if he is found guilty. Rajasthan Royals owner, Raj Kundra, has confessed to the Delhi Police of betting on his team for the last two years. While betting/gambling is a minor, bailable offence under the CrPC, the BCCI rules (Rule # 11.3) are pretty harsh. If an owner is caught betting, his team franchise can be terminated. So, Rajasthan Royals runs the risk of being scratched as Kundra is one of its owners.

Royals in its statement says Kundra is a minority shareholder and has no involvement in running the franchise. It said RR was cooperating with the probe.

Kundra today hired noted senior criminal lawyer Majeed Memon to represent him in court.
